That was soo bloody tricky to decide upon, in the end i just closed my eyes and pointed at the screen to choose which images to use. Aren't the couture collections, so far, just excellent? All of them! I'm very impressed i must say. What I wouldn't do to own one of the Dior gowns. John Galliano is genius. I would like to be his friend please. If only.

So my last post was ageeees ago about my interview for Uni. I would like to thank all the lovely people who gave me advice, it seriously came in handy! To be frank i thought I'd done shit, i had to present my portfolio and i was sooo nervous I can't remember what i said or what she asked me, it was quite horrendous. Then i had to fill in a questionnaire about myself and my knowledge of the industry, at this point I thought about the advice people gave me, to be myself, so instead of putting quite reserved answers i put what I really wanted. Then we all left thinking we had two weeks to wait for the decision. 2 days later i found out I had got in!!! SUCCESS! I can't tell you how excited i was and still am! there was screaming and crying and shock and a lot of frantic phone calls involved. I now know where i'll be for the next 3 years, what an odd concept!

If anyone needs me i'll be at Portsmouth Uni, just strolling along the beach, you know, thinking of the collection I have to design for my own catwalk and the work i have to do with contemporary designer's that show at London Fashion Week. What a boring life it's going to be.

Sarcasm aside, i am terribly nervous that i'm going be in wayyy over my head. Hell! for the moment i shall just enjoy and be incredibly excited!!

Suburbia.

On a Sunday, when I definately should have been doing something more educationally productive, and the neighbours were out in full force to look bemused by our car posing, we did this. A bit inspired by Revolutionary road, which I'm very excited about, a bit inspired by Grease and a bit inspired by Style On Trial, catch up on iplayer, it's good. We didn't live in the fifities, but if we did, this is what we would have looked like.

We may continue with these little photo shoots, its rather fun. Hope you like.

Don't really believe in God or anything but if there is a force out there would it please make these trousers exist thank you. Bleach and studs! Think how many people you would make happy with one pair of trousers.

Topshop has been known to be a bit cheeky and show one of a kind designs that never get to the shops in their adverts but my God let not this be the case! These are excellent, no? These and the union jack skirt. Super. Quite like the chaise-longue aswell.

Big changes this weekend hopefully, bit of a blog identity crisis. Any ideas to improve?

'You will be deprived of exposure'

I'm now going to post some pictures of Christmas outfits, we're not obsessed with Christmas, we enjoy a healthy dose of festive cheer, that is all. It makes me happy though and I hoped to continue in this super happy way.

I am, however, a hypocrite. The first day of college in 2009, I wasn't happy. I had to get up at 7 where usually I would get up at 12. There is no one who is less of a morning person than me. College is hard work and blah so let us cast our minds back to the christmas season...

I had planned, like the happy little elf I am (was) to dress like a Christmas miracle for the last week. It was only four days and the only picture I got of Thursday's outfit was from an unfortunate squatting position. So no to that one. I shouldn't have told people as I frequently got, 'it's not that festive' Oh really? At least I'm making a frickin effort here. No appreciation I tell you. Hope you like.

And here is what I wore on the big day itself. As the photo suggests, I spent the day dancing nonstop. the dress was a present from dear sister A, it's got a crazy diagonal zip and is puff-ball-y.

And to ring in the New year what better than sequins, a tutu and a crate of Magners. That's pamela the drunk there, in a damn sexy Alice McCall for Topshop dress which I am sure she will share with you when the time is right. In typical me fashion I was in the Kitchen getting more glasses for the Champagne when it struck midnight. But twas fun nonetheless. So happy new Year!!!
Oh yes I now have boy hair. Though I do still have a face. the camera does lie after all.

'You drop a pen in the snow, you don't go looking for it'

I know Christmas is over now, a fair bit ago, but I haven't really had time to post due to the holidays/family gatherings/revision(which I haven't really done much of actually!), and it is snowing here!!I love Christmas...well more the build up to it, but I have vowed when I am older I will make it a big thing, with lots of family.

So what did I get I hear you say (probably not but still...also I realise this is just me showing off lovely things sorry!)

Well Susan was my unsecret santa and she gave me some fabby things! (Thank you again deary)

The picture of this makes it look as if it is shiny. It is not.

Another friend Mr B put money towards these, which I love, and on New Years I managed to wear them and dance in them for 8 hours.

I also love the stocking presents santa (my mother and dad) got me, which included YSL perfume and slippers, along with all the little things I don't think about but actually need, genius.

Topshop sale is also upon us, which is lovely as having a job means that I can actually afford some of the shoes, so I got some. These in fact. They haven't arrived yet though :(

OOO and I passed my driving test (sorry again for showing off but I am so happy about it, as I no longer have to get the bus from college and I can lay in for longer, yes I am lazy.)

Well now I must try and motivate myself to revise....apparently meditation is the key to this. However I do not have the concentration for this and would soon be interrupted by my thoughts if I were to try it.

P.S. Some changes will be made to this little blog at the end of January when all of our exams are out of the way.

Urgent Advice Needed.

I received a letter today from a university inviting me to an interview on the 14th January. This makes me feel sick with nerves. I've applied for a fashion and textiles course and so have to take a portfolio. This makes me panic. I have no time. it's less than a month away and i have to start producing some decent independent work. It's my first choice university and the only interview I've yet been informed of.

If anyone has any advice at all about interviews, especially if it's a interview for a fashion and textiles course at university, it would be greatly appreciated!

Goodness me this last two days have been emotional. I'm incredibly anxious, elated, nervous, happy, panicy about this interview AND i fell madly in love yesterday. Not a good combination, i just can't think straight.

The man in question is indeed Mr Robert Thomas-Pattinson.

All 3 of us fell in love with him yesterday. Susan and Wendy-May have liked him a lot since his Cedric Diggory days, for me it's been more recent.

I could look at him all day, everyday....

And he's very stylish. I believe he might just be perfect....

Looking at these pictures has calmed me somewhat.

So the Clotheshow was pretty good actually.

It was the fourth year in a row for me and Pam and it didn't start off too well. We went with college, which was wierd, so we went on a tiny mini bus thing with this painfully annoying girl who thinks she invented shiny leggings. and does not shut up. ever. It's strange how a year ago we got dirty looks when wearing black PVC on our legs, now it's painfully common.

Here is what we wore:

Wendy-May: Satin trounsers - Primark, Boots - ebay, Black lace top - vintage, white lace - who knows, green top - Topshop, Jacket - Warehouse, Necklaces - vintage.

Susan, aka me: long sleeve top, oh they're different, well they're both Primark anyway, dress - vintage, waistcoat - Oasis, leggings, bag and boots TK Maxx (I happen to be waering everything I've ever bought from there at once.)

Pamela: Orange top - H&M, white tshirt - Gap, blousey thing - Zara, Skirt - vintage, tights - M&S, shoes - Susan's Nan, bag - vintage.

Well anyway it got better, though most of it is a bit 'print dresses and tshirts' we managed to get a few lovely things. But the real joy was the Motorola catwalk which we happened upon. Because Pam was there for 'Textiles research' and me for art, there was a spare place so thankfully Wendy-may could tag along, we had to look at all the little shows. Woo for that. It turned out it was the 20th anniversary of the clotheshow so major desgners were being shown on the catwalk. There was a titchy crowd so we were mere feet away from A/W 20078 collections! And excellently one of them was Gareth Pugh who I'm studying for art! Also Hilary Alexander was presenting the show and we walked past her behind the stage. I said hello and she said she liked my gold leggings so that was nice.

Oh christmas! It is soon!! This week I will be wearing festive themed outfits so I will post some pictures! We're having a christmas day on Friday at dear Wendy-May's so I will be high on christmas spirit and christmas spirits! And now I'm off to paint my nails red, green and gold!
