Urgent Advice Needed.

I received a letter today from a university inviting me to an interview on the 14th January. This makes me feel sick with nerves. I've applied for a fashion and textiles course and so have to take a portfolio. This makes me panic. I have no time. it's less than a month away and i have to start producing some decent independent work. It's my first choice university and the only interview I've yet been informed of.

If anyone has any advice at all about interviews, especially if it's a interview for a fashion and textiles course at university, it would be greatly appreciated!

Goodness me this last two days have been emotional. I'm incredibly anxious, elated, nervous, happy, panicy about this interview AND i fell madly in love yesterday. Not a good combination, i just can't think straight.

The man in question is indeed Mr Robert Thomas-Pattinson.

All 3 of us fell in love with him yesterday. Susan and Wendy-May have liked him a lot since his Cedric Diggory days, for me it's been more recent.

I could look at him all day, everyday....

And he's very stylish. I believe he might just be perfect....

Looking at these pictures has calmed me somewhat.

i dont know about fashion and textile design interviews, but ive been through a lot of interviews, and my best advice is come in confident, if you shake hands, have a firm one. they always ask you the obvious questions, so make sure you have good answers. like fro fashion and textiles, i dunno, if they ask, what inspires you, what do you like about fashion, what do you hope to accomplish...i dont know if these are relevant at all, but i guess just be prepared and know what you stand for and believe in. nothing looks better than confidence and intelligence. best of luck for when the time comes!

don't worry about it!! where's the course for? just imagine if you had a university and was about to take new students, you'd just look for someone eager to learn with lots of ambition who will stick it out- that's what unis want, people who will stay for years and pay them the fees!! i didn't have an interview for my course as i'd originally applied for maths, and i turned up to the interview loaded with shopping bags as i'd found loads of amazing manchester shops and everyone else was in suits with their parents! be cheerful and friendly and have questions to ask so you seem really keen on the course, i didn't even talk about maths and i got on the course!

Awww R. Pattz is quite the cutie! I crushed on him hard as Cedric Diggory, lol. As far as the interview goes, congrats! I have no fashion/design interview experience, but I did just get into med school, so I'll tell you this: dress like you care, but not like you're trying too hard to be fashionable. You ladies are already pros and all, but sometimes nerves will cause one to go totally overboard, especially on accessories. Also, don't act nervous or overly grateful. Act like you're thrilled, which I'm sure you are, but don't overdo it. Just be your fabulous self, I guess. :-)

Now I don't know if I helped at all, but I need your advice, as well as Wendy-May and Susan's. I'm going to London (and Paris) in the spring and am only vaguely familiar with stores there. Where can I go to get some of the cool stuff you guys always wear? Do you know of any good vintage stores that haven't been robbed of all the good finds? When/if you get designer stuff, where do you go? I'm uber-hyped about my trip obviously, lol. A thousand times good luck on your interview! Your portfolio will pull itself together before you know it. Could you show them this blog? You'd be a shoe-in. :-)

Oh he is just too perfect. Sadly enough, me and my friend spent at least an hour of our new years evening on youtube watching various videos of him and laughing at one of the werewolf boy which is to the tune 'sexual eruption'...

Ha, ha, ha! Good luck with your interview, I'm afraid i'm not full of advice..
