Anatomy of an outfit

I don't want to give the wrong impression here. I'm not one of those people who thinks about things all the time. Well to be fair when it comes to some stuff I can over think with the best of them. But I'm also one of those people who looks really thoughtful when actually there is nothing going on in my little brain. Nothing.

However, when it comes to fashion I use lots of my brain, admittedly mainly on a subconscious level. I load it with images and ideas and eventually these filter out, forming outfits and making me make choices about what to wear with what. Sometimes I don't notice I'm doing it but today I did. God I sound pretentious. Apologies, I'm just trying to get my, strange, point across.

I think I am accidentally explaining what is meant by inspiration. How irritating. what I'm talking about is indirect inspiration, I sort of only realised it afterwards. Heck I've gone round the houses.
Anyway, ramble aside, instead of a normal outfit post, I will show you where I got my ideas from. Not that I am comparing my outfit to these or that I am trying to copy it entirely, I will do that another day.

I also wore these today. Cannot believe I haven't shared these before as I got them ages ago and love them dearly, even if they are thin soled with and the laces come undone, often making me resort to the double knots of my youth. Topshop, for the sublimely lovely fee of £5. I shall wear them until they are entirely destroyed.

Love those shoes, they're ace! Yeah I used to get a discount at House of Fraser but they've switched to credit cards which means I can't open one as I am a poor and lowly part timer. Sucks really! Was nice while it lasted though!

Ahhhhh! I want those shoes! And the mullet you asked about...that was all wind. And maybe some gross, natural, hair grease.

I think it's wonderful that you don't need to put effort into your fashion, that you just let your inspiration take you to a fabulous outfit!

Those shoes are absolutely adorable! I'm been too busy looking at pictures of Girls Aloud to post much lately. Okay, so I've also been trying to finish my coursework, but you ladies have been keeping me entertained too.

i really love the haphazardly layered necklaces - elegant but not too prim.
